Timothy S. Woodall is an accomplished Placer County and Nevada County criminal defense attorney and a co-founder of Leupp & Woodall. A respected criminal litigator, he has secured not guilty verdicts in an array of different trials, from DUI cases to serious felony allegations.

A California native, Mr. Woodall earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Hastings College of the Law in 1983. After practicing civil law for five years in San Franscisco, he joined the firm of Leupp & Wachob in Auburn in 1989. Firm partner Charles Wachob would eventually leave Leupp & Wachob to become a Placer County Superior Court judge in 2005.
Mr. Woodall – whose pivot to criminal defense continued to yield favorable results for his clients - then partnered with Attorney Thomas Leupp and the firm was reorganized into Leupp & Woodall.
For the last 15 years, until Mr. Leupp’s retirement in 2019, Leupp & Woodall set a standard for excellence in criminal defense unsurpassed in the Placer and Nevada County legal community. Mr. Woodall continues to maintain that high standard in his continuing representation of individuals facing criminal charges.
